Swimming Lessons

Anaconda Swim School provides swimming lessons for children from the age of four at:

Lessons are 30 minute groups lessons; the first group will be for beginners, the next for those who can swim a little and so on with the swimmer moving up the groups on an individual basis until they reach the top group. From here they may be offered an assessment and if successful invited to join a junior swim squad.

Our swim teachers are fully qualified to Swim England standards, DBS checked and with a commitment to safeguarding all children in their care. Almost all of our teachers have progressed from Anaconda Swimming Club, so have a good insight into the needs of swimmers.

Fees

Fees are by monthly subscription and not per session. Some months will have five weeks of lessons and others four. December may have three as the club closes over Christmas. We calculate fees on the basis of delivering at least 42 sessions, with payments split into 11 even months (August is no charge as the Club is closed). Lessons continue during school half term holidays. Pro-rata refunds will be paid at year end if we have not delivered the minimum of 42 lessons (e.g. where sessions are cancelled due to pool closures, staff inset days etc).

Registration fee: £5
1 lesson per week: £47 per month
2 lessons per week: £73 per month

Fees are charged monthly in advance on the first of each month. Fees for new swimmers are prorated for the first month and charged on registration.

Starting lessons

What to bring/wear:

• Swimming costume (no pockets)
• Goggles
• Swim cap if you own one (we issue club caps later) or tied-up hair off face
• Towel

Please contact [email protected] to request a swim school place, letting us know the ability level and your preference for pool and day (as above).

On receipt of your email you will either be:

• Offered a day and time for an assessment, or
• Wait listed if all our sessions are full and we will contact you when a space becomes available.

For your childs' assessment/first lesson you will receive an email confirming their place and details on how to register them and set up your payments, on the SportsEngine Motion system.
