Tommy Donovan qualifies for the British Championships!

Congratulations to 16yr old Tommy Donovan, who after his commanding win in the 50m breaststroke at the MCASA Champsionships, has  qualified for this years British Championships, to be held at Ponds Forge Sheffield on the 18th- 23rd April.

Tommy will be competing on the 19th April,when he will be looking forward to coming up against Olympic gold medal winner and world record holder Adam Peaty as well as fellow Olympians Ross Murdock and Andrew Willis in the men’s 50m breaststroke.

These Championships will see the ¬†elite of British swimming go head to head for the right to represent Team GB at the 2017 World Championships to be held in Budapest later this year and will be a great learning experience for Tommy. Head Coach Wayne Lock said after the qualifying time was confirmed at County Champs ” I would like to give a special mention to Tommy for his qualifying time for the British Championships and congratulate him on being the first Anaconda swimmer to compete at these championships, it is well deserved ”
